Assonora, Goa – 13 June 2025: PACT Foundation marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its latest Happy School Project at St. Clara’s High School, Assonora. The ceremony was graced by Dr Ashwin Fernandes, Founder and President of PACT Foundation, alongside Sr Sunita Dalvi, Headmistress of the school.
The event commenced with a felicitation ceremony in the school hall, followed by the official ribbon-cutting of the newly upgraded smart classrooms. As part of the initiative, the school received advanced smart boards and comprehensive classroom enhancements, effectively transforming traditional spaces into dynamic, tech-enabled learning environments. The effort aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP), which emphasises digital integration and holistic student development.
Headmistress Sr Sunita Dalvi expressed heartfelt gratitude to PACT Foundation for its role in enriching the school’s academic infrastructure and creating new opportunities for students. The event was also attended by Sr Mamta Sirsath (Primary In-Charge), Tr Lourdes Rodrigues, Ms Resha Divkar, Mr Raj Gawas, Ms Gandhali Dravid, Tr Sania Dias, Tr Anuja Naik, Tr Lora Fernandes, and students from Classes 8, 9, and 10.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Ashwin Fernandes encouraged the students to “strive beyond boundaries,” highlighting the inspiring story of young innovator Gitanjali Rao—a girl who transformed her curiosity into global recognition through science and creativity. “Let these smart boards be your window to the world,” he said, urging students to leverage the tools now available to them.
Students responded with visible excitement and enthusiasm, expressing appreciation for the improved classroom experience and the opportunity to learn through interactive technologies.
This project marks yet another step in the expanding footprint of the Happy School Project, PACT Foundation’s flagship initiative that is transforming educational environments across Goa with a focus on dignity, access, and modernization.
