Moira: St Xavier’s School, Moira, a private aided school, announced the completion of two major projects: a state-of-the-art Smart Classroom and a new playground for the Pre-Primary School.
These upgrades aim to provide an engaging and digital learning experience for students in the high school, and a fun, safe space for pre-primary children to play. These improvements are part of the “Happy School Project” by PACT Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering communities in Goa through knowledge and action.
The foundation works on several initiatives to uplift students, youth, and women through empowerment programmes, focusing on projects that enhance educational opportunities, support skill development, and promote gender equality, all while aiming to create a ripple effect of positive change in local communities and beyond.

Fr Alexandre Pereira, Manager of St Xavier’s School, and Parish Priest of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Church, Moira, said “Our village has truly been blessed with these wonderful new facilities at St Xavier’s School.
